- Date
- When it happened — 2026-01-31, 31/01/2026 and 31.01.2026 all work.
- Merchant
- Who you paid, or what it was for (e.g. “Groceries”, “Rent”).
- Amount
- How much, as a plain number like 42.18. No currency symbol needed.
- Category
- Your bucket for it — Groceries, Transport, Fixed costs, and so on.
- Kind
- Leave blank for normal spending, or write “income” for money in and “transfer” for savings.
How to use it

Excel or Numbers
Double-click the file, or open Excel and choose File → Open. It fills in the columns automatically — just start typing your own rows.

Google Sheets
In Google Sheets, choose File → Import → Upload and pick the file. Select “Replace spreadsheet” and you’re ready to go.

BudgetPro (import it)
Fill in your rows, then in BudgetPro open Transactions → Import and drop the file in. Your month builds itself — no bank login.
